Everyone has a story, here’s mine:

Nice to e-meet you! I'm Courtney, an over-caffeinated Cleveland native turned Chicagoan who traded up diehard sports fans for far better pizza. (Though, you can probably imagine the emotional rollercoaster I endured re: World Series 2016.)

I'm a firm believer that there's always a story to be told, and I've been fortunate enough to tell those stories in my 9-5 as Manager, Social Strategy at Imagination. I’m a wordsmith with a critical thinking cap, which has helped me grow and manage social strategies for Fortune 500 companies in a tactical yet compelling way. My B.A. in magazine journalism and public relations from Drake University has also helped me tailor a content-first approach to strategic social programs.

Beyond the feed, I’ve served as a Junior Publicist at ext. 54, an Editorial Apprentice for Better Homes and Gardens, an ASME (American Society of Magazine Editors) Editorial Intern for Advertising Age in New York and as editor-in-chief of Drake University’s student newspaper, The Times-Delphic. My writing has also appeared in USA Today, Thought Catalog and Paste Magazine.

When my Spotify is unplugged & I'm not browsing Instagram, you can find me planning my next adventure, practicing my downward dog or eating my way through the city.

I'm always looking for my next story to tell, and I'd love it to be yours. Feel free to email me at courtneyleighf@gmail.com and let's grab a coffee—I did mention I love coffee, right?
